Gang Raped on 4th June 2017
Have to go through mental torture
28, July 2019, the rape victim and her lawyer seriously injured and two of her family members died due to the attack done on them. Again have to go through the trauma of losing her near ones
5th December 2019 – Stabbed by 5 men and then burnt with Kerosene
She walked up to one Kilometer after sustaining the burns in her body to call police and inform them about the incident – which shows her willingness and strive towards seeing justice to be delivered.
The accused should have been kept in jail after the Gang Rape took place or even after the attack took place when she was on her way for hearing in the Court – This was the least we could have expected from our Judiciary.
The Legislators who debate on the issue of Z+ security being given to them or their family member could have at least been considerate enough to look after the issues which are happening around them(which by the way is their duty) and could have asked for high Security for the rape case victim.
The Nirbhaya Rape case which took place 7 years before (2012) was declares as rarest of rare case by the judiciary but yet the accused are not been executed – So if this is how the justice delivery system works in Rarest of the Rare case then one can only wonder about when will the justice be delivered in the Rape case – which according to the terminology will be called as ‘normal case’.
The CM of UP was so enthusiastic to launch Anti-Romeo Squad which ended up harassing the people having consensual relationships – Why wasn’t the government so concerned about the forced relationship.
Even a common individual like me do feel like commenting and doing whatever possible for ensuring justice to be delivered. But it comes to me as a total dismay about the unjustifiable silence of our PM on this matter.
And lastly, about the people asking for fair trial to be done after the Hyderabad rape case – should instead think about the medium to establish fair trial first and most importantly it should be visible to the public. Otherwise the consequence will be the same as that of Unnao Rape case were the victim will die and the accused will be granted bail to commit further crime.
